A teeth whitening kit usually consists of three parts: mouth tray, LED lamp, and whitening gel. The latter contains the active ingredients that are activated by the LED lamp and held in place – namely on the teeth – by the tray.
The essential components of the teeth whitening gel are less than 0.1 percent hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide. They can lighten color pigments and, in such low concentrations, do not harm enamel or gums.
The gel is applied to the mouthguard. Then you insert the guard and turn on the blue LED light. After a 30-minute application, you rinse your mouth and can admire your radiant smile.
